The road branches off at Săbăoani north of Roman from Drum național 2 (also European route 85 ) to the north, crosses the Sereth and runs via Târgu Frumos , where it turns east to Iași , where the Drum național 24 which crosses it continues northwards which forms the European route 58 , then leads in a south-easterly direction at some distance to the border river Prut via Costuleni to the village Albița in the municipality of Drânceni , where it meets the Drum național 24B ( European route 581 ), where it ends. The DN24B leads around 2 km further east over the border with Moldova , which is formed by the Prut.
