action

Robert Blossom is a bra manufacturer out of conviction, and because of his love for his job and his hobby - he loves conducting record music - he forgets to take care of his wife a little more. When an amiable and shy sewing machine specialist from Mr. Blossom's factory is supposed to repair Harriet's machine, it turns out that he finally moves into the attic. He sets himself up there comfortably and takes the place of the husband during the day, whom he even saves from financial ruin once. Mr. Blossom, meanwhile, adheres to his idea of a universal bra that is supposed to give the desired shape by means of a gas, and is expanding this idea into a kind of world pacification program. But because in the event of success there would be the risk that the idyllic domestic setting could be blown up, the house friend thwarted the performance with excessive gas pressure and thus also the success.

Four years have now passed. Resourceful policemen found out about the family friend; his behavior is exposed with the result that the rightful husband can be divorced in kind. Then he hands over his factory to his wife's house friend. At the end of the film, the new factory owner leaves the house in the morning - just like Mr. Blossom once did. The parquet opens and it rises from his subterranean home, Mr. Blossom, who is enjoying a quiet retirement as the new house friend of his ex-wife.

Reviews

The Protestant film observer summarizes his criticism as follows: “The wife of a bra manufacturer feels neglected and makes a house friend in the attic of the house. This 'perfect happiness for three' is taken as the occasion for comedic game scenes and film parodies, which make the harmless film quite entertaining despite some idling. "The lexicon of international films describes the work as a" turbulent comedy with a lot of situational comedy, some personalities and numerous References to well-known cinema clichés ”.
