James Booth (born December 19, 1927 in Croydon , London as David Geeves-Booth , † August 11, 2005 in Hadleigh , Essex ) was an English actor and screenwriter .

life and career

James Booth, born in Croydon, a borough of London in 1927, studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and had a long career in cinema , television and on the stage as an actor and writer.

As an actor he was mainly seen in supporting roles, often in the action film genre such as Revenge - A dangerous affair (1990) or Lost in the Bermuda Triangle (1977). He also worked as a screenwriter on action films such as Night Hunter (1986) or American Fighter II - The Order (1987), in which he partly played roles himself.

Booth died on August 11, 2005 at the age of 77 in Hadleigh, Essex.

His last film was the crime comedy Murder in the Rectory . The film was dedicated to him posthumously.
