The road branches off in Teiuş 16 km north of Alba Iulia (Karl Burg) of drum naţional 1 (also European Route 81 ) and extends in an easterly direction by Blaj (Blasendorf) of Târnava Mare (Great Kokel) along after axente sever (Frauendorf) west of Copșa Mică (Kleinkopisch) , where it meets and ends at Drum național 14 ( European route 60 ).
