The Drum național DN7A ( Romanian for “National Road 7A”, DN7A for short ) is a national road in Romania .

The road branches off in the cadastral Văratica town Brezoi in a north-westerly direction from the drum naţional 7 ( Europastraße 81 ) and runs through the Transylvanian Alps in the valley of Lotru (Lauterbach) via Voineasa to said at an altitude of 1289 m located Vidra Reservoir (Barajul Vidra), in its further course crosses the national road 67C known as Transalpina at the group of houses Obârșia Lotrului , crosses the border between the districts of Vâlcea and Hunedoara at the Groapa Seacă pass (altitude 1575 m ) and continues to the city of Petroșani , where it meets Drum național 66 ( Europastraße 79 ) and ends there.
