The road begins at Cernavodă just east of the Danube crossing of the A2 motorway at the junction of the motorway. It runs essentially north parallel to this via Medgidia to Murfatlar , where it meets the Drum na Drumional 3 and ends at this. The road formed a section of the European route 81 .
