The Drum național 55A ( Romanian for "National Road 55A", DN55A for short ) is a main road in Romania .

The road in Little Wallachia (Oltenia) begins at Drum național 55 in Bechet , from which it continues to the west as an extension of Drum național 54A , essentially parallel to the Danube through the Wallachian Plain . It crosses the Jiu (Schil) river, leads along the Lacul Bistreț lake through the village of Bistreț to the town of Calafat , where it ends at Drum național 56 ( European route 79 ), which is here on a bridge opened in 2013 ( Danube bridge 2 ) in the city of Vidin in Bulgaria.
