The road branches off at Dieercaia from Drum național 1 ( European route 68 ) and runs in a south-easterly direction over the city of Râşnov , where it crosses Drum național 73 (also European route 574 ), and on through the northern foothills of the Bucegi Mountains to Predeal , where it meets again on Drum național 1 (here as Europastraße 60 ) and ends there.
The length of the road is around 70 kilometers.
