The Drum național 2 ( Romanian for "National Road 2", DN2 for short ) is a national road in Romania .

The road begins in the capital Bucharest and initially runs, at the same time as European route 60 and European route 85 , with four lanes, in a north-easterly direction to Urziceni , where European route 60 branches off as Drum național 2A to the east, turns there to the north-northeast and leads via Buzău and Râmnicu Sărat to Focşani (Fokschan) , continues north via Adjud to Bacău . In the further course it reaches Roman (Romesmarkt) , then the junction of the European route 583 to Iași . The four-lane expansion ends here. The DN2 continues in a north-northwest direction via Fălticeni to Suceava , where European route 58 branches off to the east and European route 578 to the west, and reaches the Romanian-Ukrainian border behind the border town of Siret . In the Ukraine it continues as the M 19 road to Chernivtsi .

The length of the road is 446 kilometers.
