Suceava County
Suceava [ suˈt͡ʃe̯ava ] is a Romanian district ( Județ ) in the Bukovina region with the district capital Suceava . Its territory includes the southern part of the former Austrian crown land of Bukovina. The license plate number and the common abbreviation for the circle are SV.
The Suceava County borders in the north to the Ukraine in the east to the counties of Botosani and Iasi , in the south of the circles Neamt , Harghita and Mures and in the west to the districts Bistrita-Nasaud and Maramures .
Demographics
In 2002 the district had 688,435 inhabitants and a population density of 80 inhabitants per km².
On October 20, 2011, 634,810 inhabitants were registered in the district of Suceava, thus a population density of 74 inhabitants per km².

The district has a total area of 8555 km², making it the second largest of the 41 districts in Romania. This corresponds to 3.58% of the area of the state.
