Călărași County
Călărași ([ kələˈraʃʲ ]; ) is a Romanian district (Județ) in the Wallachia region with the district capital Călărași . Its common abbreviation and license plate are CL.
Călărași County borders in the north on Ialomi ima County , in the east on Constanța County , in the south on Bulgaria , in the west on Giurgiu and Ilfov counties .
Demographics
In 2002 the district had 324,629 inhabitants and a population density of 64 inhabitants per km². In 2011, the Călărași district had 306,691 inhabitants, a population density of around 60 inhabitants per km².

The district has a total area of 5088 km², which corresponds to 2.1% of the area of Romania. In the Wallachian Plain , the circle is on the left side of the Danube .
