Bistrița-Năsăud County
Bistrița-Năsăud [ ˈbistritsa nəsəˈud ] ( ) is a Romanian district (Județ) in Transylvania (Transylvania) with the district capital Bistrița ( German Bistritz , Hungarian Besztercze ). Its common abbreviation and license plate is BN.
The Bistriţa-Năsăud County borders in the north and north-west to the Maramureş County , in the east of the Suceava County , in the south-east and south of the county Mures and in the west to the Cluj county .
Demographics
In 2002 the district had 312,325 inhabitants and a population density of 58 inhabitants per km².
At the 2011 census, the Bistrița-Năsăud district had 286,225 inhabitants, a population density of 53 inhabitants per km².
