Iasi County
The Iași district ([ jaʃʲ ]; ) is a Romanian district ( Județ ) in the Moldova region with the district capital Iași . Its common abbreviation and the license plate are IS.
The Iaşi County borders in the north to the county of Botosani , in the east of the Republic of Moldova , in the south to the Vaslui county , in the west of the circles Neamt and Suceava .
Demographics
In 2002 the district had 816,910 inhabitants and a population density of 150 inhabitants per km².
At the 2011 census, the Iași district had 772,348 inhabitants, a population density of 141 inhabitants per km².
