The drum 21 naţional ( Romanian for "National Road 21" short DN21 ) is a main road in Romania . In its northern section, the street also forms part of the European route 584 .

The road begins in Brăila , where it branches off from Drum național 2B . It runs through the Wallachian Plain to the southwest, passes through the city of Însurăței and meets in Bărăganul on the Drum național 21A , which leads to Țăndărei . The continuation of the DN21 crosses the Drum național 2A ( European route 60 ) in the district capital Slobozia , crosses the river Ialomi ,a, crosses the Drum național 3A at Dragalina and immediately south of the A2 motorway and ends in the district capital Călărași at the confluence with the Drum național 3 .
The length of the road is around 132 km.
