history

The history of WeGo Systembaustoffe GmbH began with the establishment of H. Golinski Isolierbaustoffe GmbH & Co. KG in Bremen in 1950. The WKT Group began to develop in 1972 with the establishment of WKT Dämmstoffe GmbH & Co. Holding in Hanau. In 1996, hego & WKT was acquired by the Sheffield Insulation Group, SIG plc. based in Sheffield, UK. In 2003, hego & WKT merged to form WeGo Systembaustoffe GmbH & Co. OHG, and the joint company headquarters was Hanau. In 2004, the activities were expanded through the acquisition of forte B&B Vertriebs und Warenhandels GmbH. The name change to WeGo Systembaustoffe GmbH was in 2008.

WeGo Systembaustoffe GmbH sells technical insulation products under the VTI brand at around ten locations in Germany. VTI covers the rock wool and glass wool segment as well as the rubber market, but also offers high-temperature, screw and above all sheet metal areas.
