The Drum național 1A ( Romanian for “National Road 1A”, DN1A for short ) is a main road in Romania . It is an alternative route to Drum național 1 between Bucharest and Brașov.

The road begins in Bucharest and runs west of Drum național 1 ( European route 60 ) via Buftea to Ploieşti , where it crosses Drum național 1. It continues east of the Drum național 1 through the Teleajen valley via Vălenii de Munte and the Bratocea Pass ( 1263 m ) to Săcele ( Sieve Villages ) south of Brașov (Kronstadt), where it meets and on the Drum național 1 again ends.
The length of the road is around 185 kilometers.
