The road branches off in Scoarta from Drum naţional 67 to southeast, and passes through the Getic Vorkarpaten about Târgu Cărbuneşti , Hurezani where the by Craiova coming Drum naţional 6B opens, over the village Giuleşti where the drum naţional 65C is crossed by Drăgăşani , where it crosses the Drum național 64 , crosses the Olt (Alt) and leads via Vultureşti and Făgețelu to the district capital Piteşti . There it ends at Drum național 65 ( European route 574 ).
