The Drumul național 79B ( Romanian for "National Road 79B", DN79B for short ) is a national road in Romania . It connects the city of Salonta with the border with Hungary at Sarkad .

The road branches off in Salonta in a south-westerly direction from Drum național 79 ( European route 671 ) and runs parallel to the railway line to Gyula to the Romanian-Hungarian border in the Pannonian Plain near the Hungarian border town of Méhkerék ( Romanian Micherechi ). It does not touch any other places in Romania. In Hungary, a low-ranking road continues.
