The Drum naţional 79 ( Romanian for "National Road 79," short DN79 ) is a main road in Romania . The street also forms part of the European route 671 .

The road begins in the city of Arad as the northern continuation of Drum național 69 on Drum național 7 ( European route 68 ) and runs in a north-northeast direction through the Great Hungarian Plain via the city of Chișineu-Criș , where it crosses Drum național 79A , which is in the west on the border with Hungary in the city of Gyula and east across Ineu to drum naţional 76 ( European route E79 , leads) and the town of Salonta , from where the drum naţional 79B also leads to Hungary to Oradea (Oradea) . There it meets Drum național 1 ( Europastraße 60 ) and ends there. Its northern continuation is the Drum național 19 .

The length of the road is around 116 kilometers.
