The road begins in Turnu Măgurele , where it meets the Northeastern Drum naional 52 , the East Drum național 51A and the Drum naional 65A , which branches off to the north on the outskirts . The road is now in a westerly direction parallel to the Danube according Corabia , from where the drum naţional 54A further to the west and extends parallel to the Danube, applies here to the north, and finally reaches in caracal the drum naţional 6 ( Europastraße 70 ), at the it ends.
