Trond Bjerknæs

Trond Bjerknæs (* 1958 in Oslo , Norway ) is a Norwegian composer .

Life

Trond Bjerknæs started learning the piano at the age of five. He began composing during his youth and after graduating from school he lived in the USA for five years , where he studied composition for four years at the renowned Berklee College of Music . When he returned to his hometown Oslo, he founded his own company and began composing for commercials. His first film composition was the action thriller Commander Hamilton, directed by Harald Zwart in 1998 . Bjerknæs was nominated for the Amanda for his two compositions for Pelle Politibil går i vannet and El clásico , with the latter also receiving an award in 2016.
