Operation Arctic is a Norwegian family film directed by Grethe Bøe-Waal in 2014 . The film is based on the novel of the same name by Leif Hamre from 1971.

The 13-year-old Julia and her 8-year-old twin siblings Ida and Sindre are abandoned by a tragic mistake on the deserted Crescent Island in the middle of the Arctic Ocean near Spitsbergen. Without contact with the mainland, the children not only have to face the impending danger of wild animals and the merciless winter storms, but also the struggle for food and their own survival.
