The road branches off in Tărtăşeşti from Drum național 7 to the northwest and runs over the district capital Târgovişte , where it crosses Drum național 72 , the Ialomița river upstream via Pucioasa and over the Bucegi Mountains to Sinaia in the Prahova valley . There it ends at Drum național 1 ( Europastraße 60 ).
