The Drum naţional 24 ( Romanian for "National Road 24", short DN24 ) is a main road in Romania . In its southern section, the street also forms part of European route 581 and in the far north part of European route 58 .

The road branches south of Mărăşeşti , which is around 20 km north of Focşani , where it branches off from Drum național 2 to the east. It crosses the Sereth River , bypasses the town of Tecuci , meets the Drum național 23 on its northern edge and continues to the northeast, parallel to the Bârlad River . To the south of the city of Bârlad , the Drum național 24D and from the west the Drum național 11A flow in , north of Bârlad the Drum naional 24A branches off to the east . At the village of Crasna the road splits; the Drum național 24B (at the same time the continuation of the European route 581 ) leads to the border with the Republic of Moldova , while the DN24 runs north to the district capital Vaslui . There the Drum național 2F coming from the west and the Drum național 15D from the northwest . The road follows the river Vaslui further north and finally reaches the district capital Iași , where it crosses the Drum național 28 (to the west European route 583 ). The DN24 runs, now at the same time as European route E58 , further north, separates at the village Vânători from running further north Drum naţional 24D and continues northeast to the border with Moldova forming Prut , which they in the border town Sculeni exceeds. On the Moldovan side, in Sculeni , it has a connection to the Moldovan national road R1 to Chișinău .
