Bârlad , until 1993 Bîrlad ( river of the same name in Romania and is located in the Vaslui district . The Bârlad drains the plateau of the eastern Vltava.

In Bârlad, the railway line from Iași is divided, one line runs along the Siret River , the other along the Prut River, and both join again in the town of Galați .
Along confusing narrow and winding streets, Bârlad also has some modern buildings, including a good hospital managed by the St. Spiridion Foundation from Iași . There are also some Roma camps in the vicinity of the city .
