The Wardschnapper ( Pseudobias wardi ), also called Blauringvanga , is a passerine bird in the family of the Vangawurger (Vangidae).
features
The Wardschnapper is a 15 cm tall and 12–13 g heavy vanga strangler with a long tail, reminiscent of flycatchers. The head with a narrow blue eye ring and the upper side are glossy black with wide white wing stripes, the beak is pale, throat and collar are white, black chest band over a white belly, the legs are bluish.

Wardschnappers usually appear in small flocks made up of different species of birds. They hunt for insects and beetles from the treetops .
distribution and habitat
The Wardschnapper belongs to the monotypic genus Pseudobias and is endemic in eastern Madagascar . It is found in the tropical and subtropical rainforest as well as in the neighboring secondary forest up to about 1600–1800 m.
Hazardous situation
The stock is not considered to be at risk ( least concern ).
