The Rostock investigator duo Kriminalhauptkommissar Alexander Bukow ( Charly Hübner ) and the LKA officer Katrin König ( Anneke Kim Sarnau ) are investigating his 15th case. The main guest stars of this episode are Markus John , Katarina Gaub , Markus Gertken , Mathis Werner and Thomas Neumann .

action

A homeless woman is found dead in a village near Rostock - she was raped and abused. The two sex offenders Kukulies and Buschke, who live in the village and who were recently released from prison, are first in the focus of investigators Bukow and König, according to information from the villagers. Next to the victim is a beer bottle with traces of kukulies, with which the dead person was badly mistreated. Shortly afterwards, the pedophile Buschke is found hanged in their apartment, and Bukow and König find a laptop with child pornography; Kukulies has disappeared. Contrary to the opinion of her male colleagues, König is of the opinion that the murder does not fit into the perpetrator profile of the two previous convicts. She sees the villagers as suspicious, who have repeatedly announced that they want to get rid of Kukulies and Buschke from their village by all means.

In fact, the alleged child pornography trade on the laptop turns out to be a fake. The local former NVA officer Heiner Bockmann is convicted of murdering the homeless and laying the traces in such a way that they point to Kukulies as perpetrators. The former officer and two other villagers are now being held captive in an attic. The situation escalates when Kukulies takes control of a boy who has secretly given him something to drink and eat and flees with him as a hostage. Bukow and König pursue Kukulies to a lonely homestead, where he can temporarily overpower and almost rape König. Kukulies is ultimately overwhelmed and arrested. The boy was able to escape and is now in the care of the police.

In the episode-spanning, horizontal film plot about Bukow and König, Bukow learns that his father is in a coma after an operation. König had received a confirmation for a position in Berlin, but during the course of the film he is uncertain whether she should accept it. After the events surrounding Kukulies, Bukow asks her to stay in Rostock because of him. How she will decide remains open.

criticism

“This 'police call' is tough stuff. [...] Here a social panorama is unfolded in which the instinct of one and the panic of the other work together dangerously. An unleashed, even unbounded fear scenario - which unfortunately shows considerable weaknesses in the second half. There it goes, completely unnecessary in terms of content, to Poland for a child pornography. And unfortunately the plausibility flute. That doesn't detract from the disturbing overall effect of this New Year's thriller: to a terrible 2017. "
