action

Katrin König from the LKA and Kriminalhauptkommissar Alexander Bukow from the Rostock Kripo meet in a murder case on a remote country road. Ricky Klawes, a young rocker , and a midwife were found murdered. The victims were stabbed in cold blood. Bukow registers several calls from a certain “Tabea” on Ricky's cell phone. A conversation between Katrin Königs and members of the Rostock motorcycle club “Satanic Riders”, to which Ricky belonged, hardly provides any further information, as the men are not ready to make any statements. The only one who at least admits that Ricky was in the club last night is its former chairman Rolf Wendland. When the commissioner wants to ask further questions, Bernd Tauber, the current chairman of the association, categorically prevents this and emphasizes that nobody has anything to say. That applies to everyone.

The dead midwife Birgit Lichte was a legend in Rostock. The officials assume that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and had to pay for it with her life. The skid marks of a second motorcycle were found at the scene , the evaluation is still ongoing. Katrin König informs Bukow and his team that the “Satanic Riders” have been in the LKA's sights for a long time because of criminal activities. They are the biggest rock club in town. Since they reached a peace agreement with the “Road Bandits”, these two groups have divided the red light scene between themselves. Two thirds of all members have a criminal record, and there are also tons of investigation files into drug trafficking , robbery extortion , and arms trafficking . The total turnover of the "Satanic Riders" is in the double-digit million range. The phone rings and an anonymous caller announces a license plate number that leads to Rolf Wendland. Wendland himself is not there, but a van is parked in front of his house in which the motorcycle he is looking for is found.

Katrin König is more than surprised when Rolf Wendland gives her to understand during his interrogation that he will speak as soon as he has been granted witness protection . Wendland demands a house far away from Rostock, 100,000 euros, a Mercedes , Audi or BMW , impunity and a new identity. Regarding the motorcycle found on him, he says that the vehicle was in the van because he should have brought it back to the rental company. The "Satanic Riders" had a party at the weekend and it was his job to organize bikes for guests from abroad. The key to the machine was accessible to all rockers. The situation comes to a head when, during Wendland's interrogation, a bag containing his dead German Shepherd is handed in. Wendland is beside himself and the police are worried. Is there a leak? Under great security precautions, Wendland is taken to a safe house, where he is to be interrogated by Katrin König. When asked about his motives, why he suddenly wanted to turn his back on the rockers, he said that he was disappointed and that the club was no longer what it used to be. Now it's all about money and lucrative business. He was “not in the mood for that.” The questioning is slow and not as König and Bukow had imagined.

Bukow studied Ricky's girlfriend Tabea in their workplace, in a table dance -Bar, and learns from her that Ricky was sure that he would come in the near future too much money, he would even have her a convertible promised. However, the young woman does not know exactly what it was all about. She also mentions that there was a fight between a member of the “Satanic Riders”, a certain Slomo, and Ricky. Slomo was angry that Ricky had made faster progress in the hierarchy of rockers than himself. Bukow informs Katrin König that Ricky had already rented a car with which he was supposed to pick up a large amount of material . There was also a dispute about this with Slomo, as Ricky was supposed to be financially involved in the proceeds from this business.

In the meantime, Bernd Tauber has found a confirmation of pregnancy hidden by his wife Yvonne and beats it up because the child could not be his. The police found her injured in the bathroom of her home. Bernd Tauber is no longer there. The officers search the entire house and secure documents. There are also Swiss account statements that belong to the Satanics account. Since the murder of Ricky there have been three transfers to an anonymous offshore account in Gibraltar for 100,000 euros each. Katrin König was able to find out through Wendland that the big business with the fabric will probably run in the port area. As it turns out, there is a defector among the “Satanic Riders”. It's slomo. The fabric is transported in large tubes. The “Road Bandits” approach, outsmart the “Satanics” and take control of the transporter with the material. The police can arrest Slomo, but the car with the drugs is already gone. They learn from Slomo that Ricky was after Tauber's wife Yvonne. That's why there would have been a fight. When Yvonne Tauber was interviewed, she said she wouldn't say anything, the police couldn't protect her. Later she is also housed in the safe house.

Wendland now tells Katrin König that Tauber took the Harley . König and Bukow find his explanation that it is difficult for him to betray Bernd Tauber, illogical. It is probably schizophrenic that Wendland on the one hand wanted to completely destroy the “Satanic Riders”, but on the other hand would not have wanted to betray Tauber. A major manhunt for Bernd Tauber is initiated. Bukow talks to Tabea again and learns from her that Yvonne had an affair, which Ricky overheard and told Bernd Tauber warmly. Ricky is also unable to conceive after an operation. Bernd Tauber and three rocker friends are now watching the house where Wendland is staying with the officers. Katrin suddenly realizes that Wendland is the one with whom Yvonne is having a relationship and tells her on the head that the child she is expecting is from Wendland. Yvonne admits and says that Ricky overheard a conversation between her and Wendland in which they talked about the fact that they wanted to leave in order to leave everything behind.

Bernd Tauber is now alone and approaches the house. His cronies didn't want to kill police officers and had little understanding since his marriage was over anyway. While Bukow is on the phone with Katrin König, she suddenly shouts into the phone in horror that he should come as soon as he can. Then Bukow hears gunshots and sets his blue light . Tauber opened fire on the house with a submachine gun . He is completely unleashed, shooting around and roaring loudly. In the house, Wendland is able to steal the gun from the young policewoman and storms with her upstairs, where Yvonne Tauber is. Bukow has now arrived and has handcuffed Tauber to an iron fence. When the officials are still rushing upstairs, Yvonne prevents Rolf Wendland from causing further harm. She thinks it is enough now and she doesn't want to die. Rolf Wendland killed Ricky and also stabbed the midwife because she could have identified him as a witness.

Production and Background

The film was shot from October 18 to November 16, 2011 in Rostock and in Kühlungsborn in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and in Hamburg .

In one scene of the film, Lana Del Rey forms the background music with her song Video Games ( Heaven is a place on earth with you ).

In this episode we learn that the LKA officer Katrin König was adopted at the age of four. At the end of the film, to Katrin König's astonishment, Alexander Bukow drives her across Kühlungsborn and stops at the place where a photo was taken many years ago that the LKA officer could not identify and that Bukow had seen on her laptop. Suddenly the young woman sees images and voices from her childhood again, someone yells “Stand still” - her own voice yells “Mamaaaa” and then the brakes of a car squeal.

The criminal investigation officer Anton Pöschel, who is upset that he too should not know the place Wendland is being taken to and illegally obtained the information from Bukow's locked desk drawer, is lured into a trap by Bernd Tauber and his rocker friends, kidnapped and tortured. They later chained him to a car, wearing only his underpants and clearly showing signs of abuse. When Pöschel is free again, he tells Bukow in a phone call that he was in a car accident. Obviously he revealed the address of the safe house under the torture.

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv gave 5 out of 6 possible stars and summarized: “A rocker in witness protection. Sarnau's LKA wife interrogates in the 'Safe House', while Huebner's belly bull Bukow is desperate about the 'silence' of the tough guys & King's head methods. 'Polizeiruf' top duo. Physically strong as usual. Rich in (character) analytical moments. A line-up with something to discover (Lause, Stangenberg, Maaß). An interrogation thriller with a final action thrill. Heavily testosterone-pregnant. "

Focus editor Joachim Hirzel said that the film would not succeed in becoming a good film and that the psycho duel was disappointing, and went on to explain, among other things, that the idea of making König's past an issue was an idea that the film do not really help, but on the contrary make it seem over-constructed. "Half-baked, not thought through to the end and, above all, not seamlessly integrated into the main plot, a lot seems to be in these 90 minutes"

Heike Hupertz summarized in the FAZ : “This billing among rockers directly affects the audience. The police shout 'Silence' allows brute force to prevail furiously and strong gestures speak credibly. "
