Tittelbach.tv (subline: Der Fernsehfilm-Beobachter ) is a website that publishes reviews of German TV films , multi-part series and crime series. The operator and main author is the journalist and television critic Rainer Tittelbach. He founded the website in 2009 with the aim of "reviving sophisticated television criticism". Up to 200 reviews of TV premieres and important reruns are published each month, usually three to four weeks before they are broadcast. Several thousand reviews are freely available. Tittelbach.tv is financed by donations and advertising income.

Authors

Rainer Tittelbach (born February 12, 1958 in Düsseldorf ) grew up in Aalen . He completed his master's degree in theater, film and television studies at the University of Cologne . From 1990 to 1993 he was media editor at Welt , since 1994 he has been working as a freelance journalist. Tittelbach has been a member of the group of jurors for the Grimme Prize since 1992, and has also been an honorary examiner for the Voluntary Self-Control Television (FSF) since 2008 .

Guest authors since 2012 are the journalists, critics and Grimme jurors Volker Bergmeister , Thomas Gehringer and Tilmann P. Gangloff . The journalist and presenter Gïti Hatef-Rossa and Klaudia Wick , television critic and director of the Baden-Baden television film festival, have also been writing guest authors since 2013 . Other authors are the film critic and screenplay editor Sophie Ch. Rieger (since January 2014) and the media historian and book author Harald Keller (since February 2015).

Awards

Tittelbach.tv was nominated in 2011 as a “treasure trove for German quality television ” for the Grimme Online Award and in 2013 was awarded the Bert Donnepp ​​Prize for media journalism.
