Christian von Castelberg

Christian von Castelberg (born January 27, 1955 in Zurich ) is a Swiss director .

Life

From 1976 to 1981 Christian von Castelberg studied chemistry at the ETH Zurich and completed it with a Master of Science . From 1981 he attended directing and screenwriting courses at the University of New York and from 1982 to 1987 did an internship as an editor at Swiss television . During this time he was directing television, advertising and corporate films. From 1988 to 1989 he took part in the directing class with scriptwriting and acting courses at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles . His first crime scene followed with the production of Martin Suter's script for the 1993 film Herrenboxer .

In 2010 he accepted a teaching position at the Konrad Wolf Babelsberg film school .

Christian von Castelberg lives in Zurich and Berlin.
