Venetian Charade is a German television film directed by Christian von Castelberg from the year 2000 and based on the novel of the same name by Donna Leon . It is the second episode of the ARD crime film series Donna Leon with Joachim Król as Commissario Guido Brunetti in the lead role.

action

Inspector Guido Brunetti is about to go on family vacation to London with his wife , when Brunetti is sent to a slaughterhouse where the body of a supposed transvestite was discovered. The investigation shows that the victim was a banker and that his appearance was only misleading of his killer. He was part of a syndicate that, under the guise of a charitable organization, blackmailed the renters of public housing.
