The Law of the Lagoon is a German television film by Sigi Rothemund from 2006 based on the novel by Donna Leon . It is the twelfth episode of the ARD crime film series Donna Leon with Uwe Kockisch as Commissario Guido Brunetti in the lead role.

action

Two mussel fishermen are killed in an explosion in the port of Pellestrina . They were both under the influence of drugs, as the autopsy shows. The residents of Pellestrina brick the wall during the interrogations by Commissioner Brunetti. His secretary Elettra offers her colleague to visit her relatives there and talk to people about the incident. Another murder happened on the island. Elettra is supposed to go back to Venice, but she refuses because she fell in love with the attractive fisherman Carlo Targhetta there.
