Christel Peters
Christel Peters (born January 15, 1916 in Swinemünde , Pomerania , † June 11, 2009 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a German actress .
Life
Peters played theater since she was a child. In the GDR , for example, she was often seen in the Moritzburg television theater , for example in Helmut Grosz 's Mother May Not Marry (1980) and Our Most Beautiful Vacation (1987) and in Andreas Knaup's The Multi-Purpose Room (1986). After the reunification she mainly worked for film and television. She became known through guest appearances in television thrillers and comedies, but above all through her role as Frau Kaiser in the sitcoms Salto Postale and Salto Kommunale at the side of Wolfgang Stumph and Achim Wolff .
She became known to the general public as the “mother of all bargains” through the television commercials for electronics discounter Media Markt .
In the television adaptation of the Brunetti novels by Donna Leon , Christel Peters played (from episode 7) the mother of Inspector Guido Brunetti . She fulfilled this role, in the episode The girl of his dreams (episode 17), even after her death. In the novel, written in 2009, Brunetti's mother is buried and in the TV episode, produced in 2010, a photo of the actress in the role of mother on the grave cross can be seen and one in memoriam at the end of the film.
