action

After a long time, her old school friend Ewald Schramm reports to Olga Knopf. It is true that she is only supposed to sew a costume for him, but Olga immediately gives hope to her crush of young people. When the doorbell rings, Olga is immediately excited, but only Meinhard Seidenspinner comes. He complains to Olga of his suffering, because after the three sisters' vacation together, he moved in with Olga's sister Irmgard and now found that he was just a better house slave there. Therefore, he has ended their relationship and asks Olga to be allowed to live with her temporarily. A little reluctantly, she agrees, hoping for a little help with her current renovation work. Silkworm turns out to be incompetent. Olga plans to build a fireplace in her living room. The construction workers had already started, but have now moved them so that there is a large black hole in the wall. Her sister Mathilde, who has brought her friend Undine Millinger, appears to help. While the two of them get down to work, Irmgard arrives, who is looking for Meinhard and who suspects him to be with her sister. Olga takes Irmgard to prayer. The way she always treats men, it is no wonder that no one can stand it longer with her. But she secretly knows that it won't be long before the two make up again. The next morning, Olga can hardly believe her eyes. Mathilde and her friend Undine Millinger actually managed to finish building the fireplace. Meinhard Seidenspinner, who is still hiding, is now also wanted by his ex-wife Dolly and his son Bodo. Meinhard has secretly informed them that they should free him from Irmgard's clutches. Since it doesn't take long before Irmgard is at Olga's door again, Dolly's comedy shows its first effect. However, the women are now allied in threes against the silk spinner, who then withdraws slightly annoyed. In the meantime, Olga's long-awaited visit arrives. Contrary to expectations, the man hardly looks like the blond youth from back then, because the many years have not left Ewald Schramm without a trace. But since he is artistically active and appears at the variety show with a group of chimpanzees, he arouses Olga's interest. The costume that he wants Olga to sew is intended for one of the monkeys. The next day the three sisters meet at Irmgard's in the café. To her surprise, Irmgard's daughter Yvonne and Seidenspinner's son Bodo have found a couple. After initial displeasure, Irmgard senses her chance to get closer to Meinhard again through this connection. The very next day she wants to officially announce the engagement of the two and celebrate accordingly. However, her café is also waiting for a renovation, and Mathilde's friend Undine Millinger quickly offers her services again. Mathilde, who has to actively help with all activities, reaches the limit of her strength. Exhausted, she falls asleep and dreams that Undine's existence was just a dream. Nevertheless, the renovation was completed overnight and the café shines in a completely new decoration. The sisters are looking forward to the inauguration party, and when Meinhard Seidenspinner appears, as expected, Irmgard behaves well and cautiously so as not to endanger the upcoming reconciliation.
