Marianne Kiefer

Marianne Kiefer (born September 3, 1928 in Dresden , † January 4, 2008 in Kreischa ) was a German actress .

Life

Marianne Kiefer was born in Dresden in 1928 as the daughter of an artist couple. At the beginning of 1945 she worked as a dance soubrette in Dresden, followed by stops in Köthen , Eisleben and tours through Germany. In 1968 she became a member of the ensemble of the Berlin Friedrichstadtpalast . Later she was a member of the actor ensemble of the television of the GDR , where she became known mainly through her comedic roles.

After the fall of the Wall , she hosted the NDR show Freut dich des Nordens , followed by various stage activities. From 1991, however, she no longer appeared in television roles. In various programs at the Dresden Comedy and other theaters, she continued to prove her acting skills in the comedy subject and in 2004 she had her last major theater role in “You are only twice young”.

Marianne Kiefer died at the age of 79 in Kreischa of complications from a severe diabetes illness. She was buried in the Zeuthen cemetery in Brandenburg .
