action

Olga Knopf is just tidying up her living room and is not really making any headway. Foster son Tassilo is supposed to help her, but he only has his secret girlfriend on his mind. He's been with Yvonne, Irmgard's daughter, for a year. By chance, Olga finds out about the relationship between the two and is accordingly outraged, but Tassilo tries to make it clear to her that although he belongs to the family, he is not related to Yvonne. Olga, however, sees it differently and simply cannot calm down. When Irmgard arrives, she doesn't want to hear anything about the worries of the others because, in her opinion, only she has problems. She wants to turn her restaurant into a pop café and simply has all the family members planned. Now Mathilde comes along and takes the conversation in a completely different direction. She has invited her telephone acquaintance and is expecting Mr. Meyer here with Olga. Mathilde's sisters are looking forward to the new admirer, who won't be too long in coming. Mr Meyer wants to get straight to the point and so it turns out that it is not Mathilde's Mr Meyer at all, but the carpet cleaner that Olga ordered. When another Mr. Meyer appears, Mathilde is at first not very impressed by the shy young man. But even he did not come as the suitor expected by Mathilde, but comes out as the son of Mathilde's husband before his marriage to her, who is happy to finally get to know his father's wife.

Olga has committed Tassilo to inform her sisters Irmgard about the relationship with Yvonne, but this does not lead to the desired success. Meanwhile, Stephan Meyer comes out with the real reason for his appearance (after so many years). In a letter from his father there is talk of a coin collection that Heinrich Lehmberg hid in the upholstery of an armchair and that is intended as a nest egg for his son. Mathilde is a little disappointed that Stephan did not seek her acquaintance out of pure family interest. But Stephan is not the only person returning to the family. Tassili's father, Alfons Persicke, turns up unexpectedly. Tassilo is now seeing Alfons for the first time and is quite disappointed, because the supposedly great artist, who had traveled the world as an artist all these years, is now only active as a clown. Irmgard had hired a music clown for a children's party in her cafe, who now happens to be Tassilo's father. Stephan, who has always wanted to be a clown, takes the opportunity and appears in his number with Alfons. Suddenly a third Mr. Meyer appears, who seems to be Mathilde's phone acquaintance, but that's again a mistake, because Kai-Olaf Meyer is an actor and was hired by Yvonne to make her court and Tassilo jealous, so that he finally confesses to Yvonne in front of Irmgard. After a long search for the ominous upholstered chair, it turns out that there is no more treasure hidden there. Stephan's father had sold the coin collection himself in order to have money for Stephan's sick mother.
