Goetz Jaeger

Goetz Jaeger (born July 31, 1934 in Fulda ) is a German dramaturge and author .

Live and act

Jaeger attended school in Berlin and Warnemünde . He passed his Abitur in Rostock and then studied German language and literature there with a diploma . After completing his studies, he worked as a dramaturge, assistant director and actor at the Rostock Volkstheater . He then moved to the Erich-Weinert-Ensemble Berlin as head of the soloist group and director .

Since 1967 he has been a dramaturge and author for the GDR television (DFF). Later he worked exclusively as an author of mostly cheerful television games - u. a. He penned series such as Maxe Baumann (1976 to 1982) and Three Lovely Sisters (1984 to 1991). After the reunification , he gradually withdrew into private life. His TV pieces are still repeated today, mainly in the third programs of the ARD . In 1986 the musical Ferien with Max with its texts and music by Gerhard Siebholz was premiered in Berlin's Metropol Theater . Shortly afterwards, the two authors released the musical revue film Maxe Baumann from Berlin , the feature film from the comedy series of the same name, which premiered in the Berlin cinema "Kosmos".
