Montreuil-sur-Blaise is a French commune with 165 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier and to the municipal association of Saint-Dizier, Der et Blaise, founded in 2016 . The residents call themselves Ecureuils .

Montreuil-sur-Blaise is located in the sparsely populated southern Champagne , about 24 kilometers south of Saint-Dizier in the valley of the eponymous river Blaise . Montreuil-sur-Blaise is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Wassy in the north and west, Brousseval in the north and north-east and Vaux-sur-Blaise in the south and east.
