Poissons is located about 28 kilometers south-southeast of Saint-Dizier on the Rongeant River . Poissons is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Suzannecourt in the north and northwest, Montreuil-sur-Thonnance in the north and northeast, Sailly in the east and northeast, Noncourt-sur-le-Rongeant in the east and Saint-Urbain-Maconcourt in the south and west.
