Fontaines-sur-Marne is a French commune with 148 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier and the canton of Eurville-Bienville (until 2015 Chevillon ). The inhabitants are called Fontenois .

geography

Fontaines-sur-Marne is about 15 kilometers southeast of the city center of Saint-Dizier on the banks of the Marne and the parallel Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne . Fontaines-sur-Marne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Narcy in the north, Brauvilliers in the northeast, Chevillon in the south and east and Bayard-sur-Marne in the west and southwest.
