Location of the association of municipalities in the Grand Est region

The Communauté d'agglomération Saint-Dizier, Der et Blaise is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a communauté d'agglomération in the departments of Haute-Marne and Marne in the Grand Est region . It was founded on November 28, 2016 and comprises 60 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Saint-Dizier . A special feature is the cross-departmental structure of the municipalities.

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté d'agglomération Saint-Dizier, Der et Blaise (before 2017) ,
• Communauté de communes de la Vallée de la Marne and
• Communauté de communes du Pays du Der .

Despite the same name, it is a start-up with a different legal personality. At the same time, the municipalities of Cheminon and Maurupt-le-Montois from the former Communauté de communes Saulx et Bruxenelle joined the local association.
