The inhabitants are called Rachecourtois .

Rachecourt-sur-Marne is about eighteen kilometers south-southeast of the city center of Saint-Dizier on the Marne . Rachecourt-sur-Marne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bayard-sur-Marne in the north, Chevillon in the south and east, Maizières in the south-west and Troisfontaines-la-Ville in the west and north-west.

The National Route 67 runs through the municipality .
