Domblain is a French commune with 80 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier and to the municipal association of Saint-Dizier, Der et Blaise, founded in 2016 .

The municipality of Domblain is about 20 kilometers south of the arrondissement capital of Saint-Dizier . In the 5.33 km² municipal area of ​​Domblain there are no year-round water-bearing surface rivers. The plateau-like landscape is interrupted by three dry valleys ( Voie de Vallerest, Vallée de la Fouchère, Vallée des Charmottes ), which divert extreme rainfall and snowmelt to the northwest to the Blaise . Except for the Bois des Tailles forest in the northeast and the partly wooded slopes of the dry valleys, the area of ​​the municipality is very poorly forested. At 246 m above sea level, the highest point is reached in the extreme south of the municipality.

Two farms are located in Domblain (cereal cultivation, cattle breeding).

Two kilometers west of Domblain, the D2 trunk road following the Blaise Valley runs from Saint-Dizier via Wassy to Dommartin-le-Franc . In the town of Saint-Dizier, 20 kilometers north of Domblain, there is a connection to the motorway-like RN 4 from Paris to Nancy . The train station in Joinville, 13 kilometers to the east, is on the Blesme-Haussignémont-Chaumont railway line .
