It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier and the canton of Joinville ( Doulaincourt-Saucourt until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Courcellois .

Courcelles-sur-Blaise is located about 40 kilometers north-north-west of Chaumont on the Blaise River . Courcelles-sur-Blaise is surrounded by the neighboring communities Dommartin-le-Franc in the north, Baudrecourt in the south and south-east and Dommartin-le-Saint-Père in the south and west.
