Valcourt is located about four kilometers southwest of the city center of Saint-Dizier between Marne and the Canal d'Amenée . Valcourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Dizier in the north and east, Humbécourt in the south, Éclaron-Braucourt-Sainte-Livière in the west and south-west and Moëslains in the north-west.
