Valcourt is a commune with 621 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in France , in the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier , in the west of the Haute-Marne department , in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). Valcourt belongs to the canton of Saint-Dizier-1 (until 2015 Saint-Dizier-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Valcourtois .
geography
Valcourt is located about four kilometers southwest of the city center of Saint-Dizier between Marne and the Canal d'Amenée . Valcourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Dizier in the north and east, Humbécourt in the south, Éclaron-Braucourt-Sainte-Livière in the west and south-west and Moëslains in the north-west.
