La Porte du Der is an existing since 1 January 2016 commune in the French department of Haute-Marne in the Administrative Region Grand Est . It is the administrative seat of the Pays du Der municipal association and belongs to the canton of Wassy and the Arrondissement of Saint-Dizier . The Commune nouvelle was created by amalgamating the previous communities of Montier-en-Der and Robert-Magny . The former is the main town (chief lieu). Both have been Communes déléguées since then .
The administrative community includes the towns of Montier-en-Der , Ceffonds , Droyes , Frampas, Laneuville-à-Rémy , Longeville-sur-la-Laines , Louze , Planrupt, Puellemontier , Robert-Magny , Thilleux and Sommevoire .
