La Porte du Der is an existing since 1 January 2016 commune in the French department of Haute-Marne in the Administrative Region Grand Est . It is the administrative seat of the Pays du Der municipal association and belongs to the canton of Wassy and the Arrondissement of Saint-Dizier . The Commune nouvelle was created by amalgamating the previous communities of Montier-en-Der and Robert-Magny . The former is the main town (chief lieu). Both have been Communes déléguées since then .
