Osne-le-Val is a French commune with 257 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier and the canton of Eurville-Bienville (until 2015 Chevillon ). The inhabitants are called Cayens .

Osne-le-Val is about 25 kilometers southeast of the city center of Saint-Dizier . Osne-le-Val is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Chevillon in the north and northwest, Montiers-sur-Saulx in the northeast, Paroy-sur-Saulx in the east and northeast, Effincourt in the east and southeast, Montreuil-sur-Thonnance in the south and southeast, Thonnance-lès-Joinville in the south and south-west, Autigny-le-Petit in the south-west and Curel in the west.
