Montiers-sur-Saulx is a French commune with 380 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Bar-le-Duc and the canton of Ligny-en-Barrois (until 2015: canton of Montiers-sur-Saulx ).

Montiers-sur-Saulx is located on the Saulx in the south of the Meuse department, about 27 kilometers south-southeast of Bar-le-Duc and about 69 kilometers west-southwest of Nancy . Montiers-sur-Saulx is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Morley in the north and north-west, Couvertpuis in the north, Biencourt-sur-Orge in the north-east, Ribeaucourt in the east, Bure in the south-east, Effincourt and Paroy-sur-Saulx in the south, Osne-le- Val in the southwest and Chevillon in the west.
