Couvertpuis is a French commune with 87 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bar-le-Duc , to the canton of Ligny-en-Barrois (until 2015 Montiers-sur-Saulx ) and to the municipality of Portes de Meuse .

geography

The municipality is crossed by the Orge River , a tributary of the Saulx . Couvertpuis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Morley in the west, Hévilliers in the north, Biencourt-sur-Orge in the east and Montiers-sur-Saulx in the south.
