Laheycourt is a French commune with 405 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bar-le-Duc and the canton of Revigny-sur-Ornain (until 2015: Canton Vaubecourt ).
geography
The municipality is located in the west of Lorraine, about 18 kilometers northwest of Bar-le-Duc . The river Chée flows west through Laheycourt .
Neighboring municipalities of Laheycourt are Lisle-en-Barrois in the northeast, Villotte-devant-Louppy in the east, Louppy-le-Château in the southeast, Villers-aux-Vents in the south, Noyers-Auzecourt in the west and Sommeilles in the northwest.
history
In the 18th and 19th centuries, the community had the same place names as Laheicourt (1793) and La Heycourt (1801).

Trivia
In April 1983, the 57 m high bell tower of the Catholic Church of Saint-Agnan collapsed around midnight for no apparent reason and without causing personal injury.
